Victorians had a much different view of death than we do. People died at home surrounded by loved ones, and families picnicked in cemeteries on Sundays, took photos with the deceased, and made jewelry from their hair. They also worried about being buried alive, or having their remains stolen. Come join Iowa historian Kathy Wilson for a fun and fascinating look on the customs of another era regarding one of life's certainties.
Kathy's programs are always interesting and fill up quickly. Come early to ensure a seat!
All are welcome and refreshments will be served. There is no charge to attend.
