People in Victorian times had a much different view of death and dying than we do. People died at home, surrounded by loved ones. Families picnicked in cemeteries and had photos taken with the deceased, and even made jewelry from their hair. People also worried about being buried alive or having their bodies stolen. Join Iowa Historian Kathy Wilson for this fascinating and entertaining look at the end of life from another perspective.
Kathy's programs fill up quickly. Arrive early to ensure a seat!
This program is free of charge, and refreshments will be served.
