Quilter's display at the Library

Many examples of the work of local quilters' are being shown at the library.

March is National Quilter's Month and many of our local quilters have allowed a selection of their pieces to be put on display at the Marcus Public Library.  There are table runners, wall hangings, baby quilts, pillows, just for fun pieces, and full size bed quilts!  The total number of hours involved in these projects must be in the high four figures, and perhaps even greater than that!

Some of these quilters began at age 8 and others are well past retirement.  One veteran quilter has been teaching a quilting class for grade school kids.

The quilts should be "up" through the end of March and into the first week in April.  The library staff and trustees hope that some remain on display for the library sponsored chamber coffee planned for April 5.
